Christmas in Villafranca de Córdoba
Magic, creative recycling, and the excitement of a united town
Christmas in Villafranca de Córdoba is experienced in a very special way. Beyond the traditional lights, it is a time of true union, where neighbors work hand in hand for months to decorate their streets using recycled materials. The result of this beautiful coexistence are corners full of light, color, and pure Christmas magic, unique in the province.
Tradition and Coexistence
The neighborhood effort pays off with the traditional street contest, an event that encourages creativity and teamwork. After the awards ceremony, the town gathers to enjoy a great hot chocolate, fighting the cold with the warmth of the community.
But the party doesn’t end there. During these weeks, Villafranca vibrates with activities for all ages: from authentic traditional Zambombas and rides on the Christmas train, to children’s musicals and a large market where you can find the perfect gift.
Magical Moments
The year bids farewell on December 31st with the chimes at the door of the Town Hall, to the sound of the clock tower. And to finish with a flourish, the night of greatest excitement arrives on January 5th with the Great Cavalcade of the Three Wise Men going through our streets and spreading joy.
