Experiences

VILLAFRANCA IS EXPERIENCED

Less than 30 minutes from Córdoba, among holm oaks, pine forests, olive groves and poplar groves of the Guadalquivir, is Villafranca de Córdoba. From above, the mountain range overlooks the valley and, at the foot of its slopes, the white houses look towards the countryside.

Villafranca is not just visited, it is felt. It is the scent of firewood in winter and the invigorating freshness of the river in summer. It is the sound of the Hermitage bells mixing with the singing of the birds in the Sierrezuela. Here, time seems to stop just enough for you to savor it.

In spring, wildflowers adorn the trails that invite you to get lost and find yourself again. In summer, the Guadalquivir becomes the protagonist, offering navigation and calm, while Aquasierra provides endless fun.

“Here, eggs are food and also culture, festival, and identity.”

History is palpable in the stately facades of the Palace House and devotion is experienced intensely in every corner during Holy Week. But above all, Villafranca is its people: hospitable, cheerful, and always ready to share a table, a chat and, of course, some fried eggs on our most magical night.
