Holy Week

Holy Week in Villafranca de Córdoba is a period of deep devotion that runs from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. The streets are filled with solemnity during processions such as La Borriquita, El Rescatado, La Virgen de la Amargura, El Nazareno, La Virgen de los Dolores, El Sepulcro, El Santísimo Cristo de la Caridad, La Virgen de la Soledad, and El Resucitado. This time of year is also an opportunity to appreciate the municipality’s historical and cultural heritage, as the hermitages and parish church open their doors for popular devotion.
